I have so much to be grateful for because of SOBA. I have been to other treatment centers and was never successful in maintaining sobriety. The clinical and housing staff were beyond helpful and were always accommodating. I was failing out of school and going down a dark path, but with all the help from Josh, Leigh, Bob, Michelle, Jackie, and David, I am doing well. I did the full program, was in the Sober Living program for around 6 months, and currently reside in their Independent Sober Living. I have earned a 4.0 GPA at my college while here, have made huge strides in my 12-step program, and have made friends for life here. Thank you so much to SOBA for helping me get my life back on track. I look forward to my future!

SOBA is the reason I am alive today and helped me to change my life for the better and gave me the skills and resources I need to continue along in my recovery journey. I am so grateful to have found this program and been given a second chance at this wonderful sober life I am living today with a big help from the staff at SOBA, I couldn’t have done this without them! Amazing program!!!!

SOBA provided me with the perfect platform to get Sober & build a support network to remain Sober... the Staff at Duke St. Detox was amazingly supportive & encouraging, especially Adrien, Carlos, and Celeste... transition to Morrell st. Sober living was seamless & comfortable... where Staff at Bayard IOP lacked empathy, the Housing staff at Morrell st. made up for it & took time to genuinely invest in my situation & help me move forward. Bob, Michelle, David, Danielle, and Jackie always made time for me. Having been in treatment before I have a true perspective on how great SOBA is.

I was in desperate need of help and tried to contact a ton of treatment facilities, SOBA answered my call on the first ring and saved my life. The other facilities put me on hold and made getting help incredibly difficult. The entire staff of SOBA is there for you to get well and give you the resources and strength to stay well. They showed me that there's nothing wrong with asking for help and carried me when I didn't have the strength or will to stand on my own. I had given up on taking care of myself and they took care of me until I had the will to do so again, without pandering and with genuine empathy. From medical detox to residential treatment, to housing everyone was professional, comprehensive, and kind. SOBA provided the tools and knowledge for me to want to reprogram my life and live it as best as possible. If you need help do not hesitate to contact SOBA.

Entering recovery was one of the hardest decisions I have ever made. It was also one of the smartest, and one I wish that I had made 20 years ago. I spent three months at SOBA in the winter of 2020-21 for rehab and sober living. Last week I reached my 10-month clean date. I’d like to express my gratitude to the following staff members who helped me along the way: At Duke, to Christine and Danielle, who I connected with early on, to Kayla who always had extra time for me on my most difficult days, to Keith for giving me some indispensable advice, to Jess, my first therapist, who made me feel safe enough to confide in. At Morrell, to Kim, my second therapist, who helped me to navigate the difficult emotions that followed, to Jackie for her dedication and help in getting me ready for the next leg of my journey, to Rachel for her kindness and humor, to Michelle for being the mom of the house, and to Bob, who spent countless hours talking to me when I had the urge to give up, isolate or just needed to chat. I'm forever grateful to you all.

Because of them, I'm clear-minded & I have the most important thing back in my life my family. SOBA was great. From the first day I arrived, the concern and care for my recovery were most important. As I progressed through the program I gained essential tools I needed to deal with my addiction head-on. The support you get from the facility is wonderful. There are so many good things to say about this place. From the people to the food to the facility itself. Every aspect of SOBA I found great. If you are willing to undergo this treatment program, you will leave with everything you need to remain sober. I recommend this place to anyone ready for treatment from addiction. If you are ready and willing please make the call.

SOBA is a great place. I went here, everyone is very welcoming and friendly willingly ready to help all. We built a family being in the program and also I felt very safe and comfortable. The techs and clinical are very understanding, they definitely put in a team effort to keep everyone in the right steps to be in recovery along with future recovery! I am very grateful for being able to come here and get the best help. I recommend coming here, hands down the best substance abuse program in Central Jersey.

This is a great program for addicts. My son was very successful and has now been sober for almost seven months now. The staff was very attentive and helpful and always available to answer questions. They had meetings for the family to help cope with addicts. It’s not overcrowded so the addicts have more of a one-on-experience and feel more comfortable. I highly recommend SOBA.

So where do I start? 1st my name is Michael and I’m an addict. So I want to say thank you to everyone at SOBA. I came to them totally broken. I 1st came to their Duke street location for detox where I was met by George he helped me with my intake at that point I was 142 pounds and a shell of a man. After a few tough days I was finally able to eat. Small steps. Btw the food from chef Henry and James is amazing. The staff there helped me get my mental health straightened out all while getting me off any and all drugs for the 1st time in 24 years. I then moved up to residential where Julia my clinician helped me with my next-level care plan which was PHP. After completing 26 days at Duke st I then with the help of Bob (who is a great person) moved to Morrell st where I was greeted by Staten Island Mike who got me settled in. For the next 120 days, I went from what I was told to me (that I was the most likely to relapse to the person who was able to leave 2 months early) along the way I met Jess who probably is the biggest reason I’m able to say that I now have 152 days clean and sober. There are some other people I want to mention also as amazing staff members who can help you get clean if you want to. Jackie, Jamie, Wilfred, Josh Z, Josh C, Donna, little Mike, Rachel, Danielle, Michelle, and the most important one Jen. Without Jen, you will look terrible. She doubles as a hairstylist and a Tech. Please understand that they can help you if you want help just give them a chance they SAVED MY LIFE. They can save yours.

Words cannot even describe what SOBA has done for me. My life has made a 360 degree turn around for the best life I’ve ever experienced. I credit all the staff there, but especially Michelle C from the housing. She is simply amazing she was and is an intricate part of my current success, Michelle truly understands that some of us have really gone through hell, and she uses that knowledge to raise awareness in everyone with whom she comes in contact with. Realistically speaking I did not want to leave there. It was a conflicted day happy and sad at the same time before I got in the Uber Michelle C stopped me and said "let’s pray.” I am forever grateful to her and all of the SOBA staff and patients...

It’s a great program with a ton of options and a great starting point for your recovery to get you on your feet and moving in life, staff is great, the techs are great and everyone has your best interest in mind. You will not find a program with a better housing option either. Definitely recommend it to anyone wanting to change your life.
