East Orange Drug & Alcohol Rehab

Withdrawals from drugs and alcohol can be uncomfortable and, in some cases, dangerous. That’s where medical detox comes in. Our medical detox program near East Orange helps clients stop using drugs and alcohol safely. Usually, medical detox lasts for about 1-2 weeks. Once detox is over, you will transfer to another level of care where you can address the underlying causes of addiction.

Residential inpatient treatment removes you from daily life triggers and patterns temporarily so that you can build new habits that support your long-term recovery. SOBA NJ offers short and long-term residential inpatient treatment. 

A short-term residential inpatient program usually lasts for around 30-90 days. As a residential inpatient client at SOBA NJ, you will have a full treatment schedule consisting of group therapy, individual therapy, recreation, and other activities. Since you’ll live on-site, you will have access to all of our amenities, including but not limited to daily chef-prepared meals and a fitness center, sauna, and jacuzzi. 

Our long-term drug and alcohol rehab program is an extended version of traditional inpatient services. Longer treatment stays are linked to better recovery outcomes and can be a game-changer for those who have severe addiction symptoms, face chronic relapse, or have not found success in treatment in the past.

The partial hospitalization program at our East Orange drug rehab center is a cross between residential inpatient treatment and an intensive outpatient program. PHP requires that you attend treatment for more hours per week than you would in a traditional outpatient program so that you can get optimal support from staff while experiencing the freedom of staying in a living situation of your own or in our sober living apartments. 

PHP is ideal for those stepping down from a higher level of care or as an initial form of treatment for those with a stable, substance-free living environment who are able to manage symptoms and cravings without the supervision of an inpatient program.

Our intensive outpatient program is the next step below PHP. As an IOP client, you’ll go to treatment multiple times per week to engage in regular groups, individual therapy sessions, and other structured activities. However, you will engage in fewer total treatment hours per week than a PHP client would, making IOP an ideal fit for those who need to tend to obligations like work or school while getting help for addiction. Again, IOP can be used as an initial treatment program or as a step-down form of care, depending on your needs.

The outpatient program at our East Orange drug rehab center is the least intensive form of care SOBA NJ has to offer. As an outpatient client, you’ll attend treatment for 1-9 hours per week. Our outpatient program is geared toward those with well-managed symptoms who are working primarily on relapse prevention after finishing a higher level of care.

We offer a range of telehealth, telemedicine, or virtual rehab services so that you can get help for addiction and mental health, even if you can’t attend in-person treatment at this time. SOBA NJ’s telehealth services include but aren’t limited to group therapy, individual therapy, assessments, consultations, medication management, and follow-up meetings. All online sessions are confidential and conducted by licensed providers.

Our two-part family program is for family members and loved ones of those in one of our programs. The family program at our East Orange drug rehab center meets every Thursday. 

In the first session, our staff members educate family members about substance abuse, the treatment process, expectations, and boundaries. The second session is a multi-family group, where families connect with one another and share challenges, successes, or something else that’s on their minds. 

Confidentiality and ground rules will be discussed upfront to ensure a comfortable environment.

Aftercare planning is a crucial part of addiction treatment. As you prepare to graduate from any of the programs at our East Orange drug rehab center, you’ll work with staff to make an aftercare plan. Aftercare can involve continued therapy, support groups, and other services. 

Alumni options are separate but can be a valuable part of your aftercare plan. After finishing a program at SOBA NJ, clients have access to our alumni program, which offers services such as meetups and check-in calls.
