Getting off of drugs and alcohol can come with uncomfortable and potentially dangerous withdrawal symptoms. The medical detoxification or detox program at our Franklin Lakes drug rehab center will help you stop using substances safely with the assistance of trained medical staff. Detox takes approximately 1-2 weeks and is usually a precursor to another level of care because it focuses on helping clients reach physical stability rather than addressing the underlying factors that play a role in addiction.
Short-term residential inpatient treatment involves a typical treatment stay of about 30-90 days. For many clients, short-term residential inpatient treatment is an ideal starting point. Residential inpatient treatment removes you from everyday life temporarily so that you can build new patterns in a substance-free setting with supervision and accountability from staff. Our short and long-term residential inpatient clients eat, sleep, and live on-site for the duration of their program. During the day, you’ll have a full schedule of treatment activities, including 34 hours of group counseling and one hour of individual counseling per week.
Our long-term drug and alcohol rehab program is an extended version of traditional or short-term residential inpatient treatment. Clients who face frequent relapse or severe addiction are more apt to have positive outcomes when they attend long-term rehab, even if addiction treatment hasn’t been successful in the past. Long-term rehab can last six months or more, but the exact length of your treatment stay will be based on your treatment needs.
Our partial hospitalization program (PHP) provides intensive treatment during the day but allows you to return home or to our sober living apartments at night. It is in between residential inpatient care and a traditional intensive outpatient program, combining the comprehensive nature of an inpatient program with the freedom of a standard outpatient program.
An intensive outpatient program (IOP) provides care one step below PHP in intensity. While many elements of the two programs are the same, IOP requires a lower time commitment than PHP. Due to increased flexibility, IOP can be an ideal option for those who must work or go to school while in treatment.
SOBA NJ’s outpatient program is our lowest level of care. At our Franklin Lakes drug rehab center, the outpatient program involves a time commitment of 1-9 hours per week, with your exact treatment schedule varying based on your individual needs. Outpatient services include but aren’t limited to individual therapy and groups.
Our two-part family program is for family members and loved ones of those in one of our programs. The family program at our Franklin Lakes drug rehab center meets every Thursday.
In the first session, our staff members provide education on substance abuse, the treatment process, expectations, and boundaries. The second session is a multi-family group, where our client’s families connect to share challenges, successes, and anything else that comes up while their loved one is in treatment.
We discuss confidentiality and ground rules at the beginning of sessions to facilitate a comfortable environment.
SOBA NJ owns various sober living facilities close to our Franklin Lakes addiction treatment center. Each of our sober living options supports clients in distinct stages of recovery. Typically, sober living combines the independence and autonomy of a standard living arrangement with the accountability of staying in a designated substance-free space, which is what you can expect in our sober living apartments for outpatient clients. On the other hand, residential inpatient and detox clients will live on-site with treatment staff present 24/7 for optimal support.
Aftercare planning is a crucial part of addiction treatment. As you prepare to graduate from any of the programs at SOBA NJ, you’ll work with staff to make an aftercare or relapse prevention plan. Aftercare can involve continued therapy and medication management, support groups, job and housing assistance, and other services.
Alumni support can play an important role in your life after treatment. Upon finishing a program at SOBA NJ, clients have access to our alumni program. Our alumni program offers services such as meetups and check-in calls to help you stay connected to your support system and prevent relapse.
We offer a range of virtual rehab or telehealth services so that you can get the help you need for addiction and mental health, even if you can’t attend in-person treatment at this time. SOBA NJ’s telehealth services include but aren’t limited to group therapy, individual therapy, assessments, consultations, medication management, and follow-up meetings. All online sessions are confidential, HIPAA-compliant, and conducted by licensed providers.
