About Heather
Heather is a highly accomplished Registered Nurse licensed in multiple states. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from William Paterson University, an Associate’s Degree in Nursing from the County College of Morris, and a Master of Science in Nursing with a concentration in Nursing Education from Grand Canyon University. Currently, she is furthering her expertise by pursuing a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Grand Canyon University.
Heather began her career as a Social Worker with the State of New Jersey’s Department of Children and Family Child Protection and Permanency. Following her attainment of an RN designation, she transitioned to nursing, starting as an Emergency Room nurse. It was in the realm of Substance Abuse where she discovered her true passion, subsequently holding several administrative roles at various inpatient substance abuse facilities in New Jersey and New York. Most recently, she worked at a Community-Based Organization dedicated to the LGBTQAI community.
Heather actively contributes to the New Jersey State Nursing Association’s Oversight Board for the Recovery and Monitoring Program, supporting nurses in recovery. Additionally, she serves as a trustee for the Lincoln Park Volunteer Emergency Medical Services, where she was a dedicated member for 18 years.
In her leisure time, Heather enjoys baking, traveling, and cherishing moments with her family and friends.
