Technically detox is not part of rehab, it is actually its own unique level of care. However, most individuals require detox before starting a rehab program.
Detox is medically monitored withdrawal management. As addictive substances leave the body, the body goes into withdrawal and manifests a variety of symptoms.
In our state-of-the-art detox facility our experienced team of doctors, nurses, and support staff help our clients through the withdrawal process and prepare them for their rehab and recovery journey.
A Residential rehab program is typically the next step after completing detox. In Residential treatment our clients can live with us and continue to have their mental and physical health monitored by our medical staff.
Residential rehab allows individuals to begin the rehab program in a safe, supportive environment. They’ll attend groups therapy sessions, meet one-on-one with their therapist, and begin to form a recovery community with their peers.
SOBA’s residential program is considered short term because our clients only stay in this level of care for up to 30 days. You can find out more about SOBA’s Short Term Residential Rehab Program Here.
Partial Care, also known as Partial Hospitalization, is a step down from residential treatment. Clients in partial care don’t need to be living with us, but they still receive intensive treatment each week through group and individual therapy sessions. Our Partial Care program is one of the best in the state!
Outpatient treatment is for clients that no longer live with us, but still work with their therapists and attend groups on a weekly basis. Outpatient rehab is crucial for maintaining recovery and staying sober.
Our Outpatient rehab is actually split into two unique programs. The first is Intensive Outpatient. Intensive Outpatient requires more treatment time each week and offers a solid transition from Partial Care to Outpatient treatment. This transition is crucial in preserving the progress our clients have made in their rehab and recovery.
The second component is simply called Outpatient treatment. Outpatient is the lowest level of care, which means clients at this level are almost ready to graduate from treatment and lead sober lives without the need of attending a rehab program.
After finishing the outpatient level of care and graduating from our program, clients should no longer require our medical or clinical treatment. But that doesn’t mean they stop needing help.
Recovery is a constant struggle, that’s why we help our clients create a strong support network outside of treatment. This includes securing a sponsor, getting started with 12-step meetings, and strengthening the family support system. This system is established well before clients finish treatment here, giving that person a solid recovery foundation to lean on after rehab.
In addition, after our clients complete their rehab program, they are welcome to join our Alumni group meetings each month where they’ll receive support, encouragement, and friendly faces to talk to.

Depending on the length of stay and the level care the cost of rehab can vary. Most rehab programs in New Jersey accept private insurance, some accept state-funded health insurance, and others accept Medicaid and Medicare. For those with no insurance self-pay options are typically available.
