Why Short-Term Residential?

The greatest chance of relapse occurs if an addict completes detox but does not seek further addiction treatment. The Short-Term Residential program at SOBA New Jersey stands as the crucial next step following detox to ensure a stable introduction into lasting recovery.

In addition to around-the-clock, 24-hour addiction treatment clients will receive 12 hours of counseling treatment services per week. This includes individual client counseling for 1 hour per week minimum. And a minimum 10 hours of group counseling. This intensive treatment allows the client to kick start their recovery. They’ll work each day and each week to move forward in their recovery journey.

This program is specifically designed for individuals suffering from addiction that:

  • Have difficulty sustaining their recovery without being intensely monitored
  • Demonstrate consequential addictive behavior
  • Have functional impairment in areas of withdrawal management
  • Have pre-existing co-morbid medical problems or diagnosable co-occurring disorders.
