Kayla Walters is the Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) technician and a Licensed Practical Nurse at SOBA College Recovery. She received her LPN degree from Holy Name Medical Center School of Nursing in Teaneck, NJ in 2013. While attending, Kayla found most of her interest in Psychology and ranked top of her class during that module.
Kayla has been working within the healthcare industry since 2014 and has a passion for helping people with positivity and gestures of kindness. She strongly believes a complement or a simple act of kindness can make someone’s day better. She has seen how crippling depression and addiction can be with those close to her and was determined to be part of a better solution for others who also suffer. She found herself looking up TMS therapy after seeing it on a billboard and began working with TMS in 2018. She has firsthand experience administering TMS and has seen the amazing outcomes from it. She believes the best part of her job is seeing the changes a patient experiences; from feeling down and reclusive to being more confident, smiling, and going out with friends and family. Kayla’s long term goal is to continue her education in Nursing. She dreams of becoming a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner so she can continue to help those in need on a greater scale.
In her spare time, Kayla enjoys spending time with her loved ones and dog. She loves long, deep conversations, travelling, and trying new food.
