Kelly Rose Printon is a Primary Therapist at SOBA College Recovery.
While working towards her Master’s Degree, Kelly Rose realized her special interest in working with those in recovery from substance abuse, especially young adults.
While still an undergraduate, Kelly worked in a halfway house Intensive Outpatient Program, and she facilitated groups for residents and IDRC-referred clients. As a graduate student, Kelly Rose gained further clinical and case management experience while working with clients in the Young Adult, Dual Diagnosis and Senior Link Programs of a well-known treatment program; where she facilitated psychotherapy and psycho-educational groups for adults with dual diagnosis of substance abuse and mood disorders.
Kelly was previously employed by an adolescent and adult treatment program where she provided case management and individual, family and group therapy to adolescents and adults seeking treatment for mental health issues and substance abuse.
Kelly Rose applies elements of Motivational Interviewing, Solution-Focused Therapy and Dialectical behavioral Therapy in treating her clients. She strongly believes that therapy is most effective when the foundation of the therapeutic relationship balances compassion with acceptance.
Kelly Rose enjoys spending her free time exercising outdoors. She loves cooking, seeing new places, watching documentaries and being with her three dogs.
