Michele Scasserra works as Clinical Coordinator at SOBA College Recovery. Her professional experience includes individual, group and family counseling services.
Michele has worked in the field of addiction for over 10 years. She was a coordinator for an Intoxicated Driver Resource Center program as well as a therapist in a methadone clinic. She is also a New Jersey Certified Psychiatric Screener and has worked for psychiatric emergency screening services.
Michele believes in a strengths based approach to therapy and utilizes both Motivational Interviewing Techniques and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Michele is continuously trying to smash the stigma surrounding addiction and mental illness.
In her free time, Michele enjoys spending time with her Chihuahua Ziggy Stardust, photography, exploring local thrift shops, and trying new recipes.
