Michele Scasserra works as Clinical Coordinator at SOBA College Recovery. Her professional experience includes individual, group and family counseling services.
Michele has worked in the field of addiction for several years and was coordinator of an Intoxicated Driver Resource Center program as well as in a methadone clinic. She is also a New Jersey Certified Psychiatric Screener and has worked in the psychiatric emergency room at Somerset County.
Michele believes in a strengths based approach to therapy and utilizes both Motivational Interviewing Techniques and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Michele approach is in ‘starting where the client is’ and she’s continuously trying to smash the stigma surrounding addiction and mental illness.
Michele enjoys spending her free time with Ziggy Stardust, her Chihuahua, photography, exploring local thrift shops and trying new recipes.
