Samantha Sweeney, LAC

Samantha is a Case Manager at Soba College Recovery. She received her Bachelors Degree in Psychology from William Paterson University in 2014. She then went on to pursue a Masters Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Kean UniversitySamantha is a National Certified Counselor (NCC) and is a Licensed Associate Counselor.

While completing her undergraduate degree Samantha realized her passion to work in the field of substance abuse and addictions. Samantha’s first experience in the field was working with adults who were recommended to complete treatment as a result of a DUI. Prior to coming to SOBA College Recovery, Samantha was employed working with adolescents in a long term substance abuse treatment facility, where she provided individual counseling, group therapy, and facilitated family nights.

Samantha practices strength-based approaches, client focused approaches, Cognitive Behavioral approaches for addiction counselling, and Motivational interviewing.

In her free time Samantha enjoys traveling, working out, and going to the beach.
